Alien: Covenant new photo shows Michael Fassbender dressed in white, barefoot and next to a piano, making that unsettling, polite android face.
Fassbender is playing two different androids in the upcoming sequel to Prometheus that is also a prequel to Alien. He is reprising the role of David from the previous film and also plays Walter, the all new, improved and more advanced android aboard the Covenant.
So, we also have the improved android model trope in Ridley Scott’s latest film that seems to be made to look and feel as close as possible to Alien and Aliens.
Noomi Rapace and Guy Pearce will also be returning to their roles from Prometheus. They are joined by Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Jussie Smollett, Demian Bichir, Billy Crudup and James Franco.
The script is written by Jack Paglen, Michael Green and John Logan.
Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
We have been teased plenty with new Alien: Covenant images this week.
It’s trailer time.
